Welcome to my blog!!!

Hi Everyone, Luke here. I decided it was time for me to blog about what's been going on with me, that way everyone can keep track of me. I hope you enjoy and check back from time to time to check me out.

Well, I was born on Monday May 17, 2010. Mommy tells me it was a pretty easy labor. I waited until her alarm clock went off for work to let her know I was coming. She started feeling contractions around 5:00am and they were already 5-6 mins apart. Daddy drove Mommy to the hospital and 9 hours later and 5 minutes of pushing I arrived! Mom and Dad were super happy and couldn't beleive how handsome I was
We stayed at the hospital for the normal 48 hours. So many friends and family stopped by to say hi to me! I was so nice to be loved so much.

Then it was time for me to go home and for my first car ride! The trip was pretty long, but I slept for most of it. Daddy helped carry me to our condo.

When we got home Mom and Dad had lots of help from Granny Jen-Jen and Papaw. They stayed for 2 weeks to help mommy feel better and gets some well deserved sleep. I loved spending time with them.

During those 2 weeks I had alot of firsts. I had my first bath, my first walk in the stroller, and I even rolled over from my stomach to my back!

I love the bath which makes mom and dad super happy because they say we will be doing lots of water activities in the future. I can't wait!

We also had TONS of visitors right away. Everyone wanted to see me. I felt so special. (I think mommy and daddy are a little jealous). Grandma and Grandpa David stopped by.

Grandma Leelee also stayed over one night to help mom.

Once the two weeks were over Mommy and Daddy were on their own. Good thing I am a GREAT baby! I hardly ever cry unless I need something. Once I get what I need I am such a happy baby. Mom and I had to stay in the house for 2 whole months until I got my shots. I enjoyed my time with her though. She is great to play with, and I loved playing with daddy when he got home.

My Aunt Julie and Uncle Adam even came to see me! I really loved meeting them.

I did have a couple of exciting outings my first 2 months. I had my first photo shoot thanks to Aunt Julie. Here is one of my shots.

Grandpa Polacek took me out for my very first boat ride! I loved it! Mom and Dad got me all dressed up and we went out on the boat for a couple of hours. It was a cloudy day, so I didn't get too hot.

Other than that I kept pretty low key. I just had my two month shots and now Mommy and I are out and about. We have gone grocery shopping, out to lunch with the girls, and to visit daddy at work for lunch. I am very good during the outings. I am always looking around to check out where I am. The car doesn't bother me either, I usually just fall asleep. That way I am surprised when we get somewhere new. My next new adventure is a long car ride to visit Granny Jen-Jen and Papaw in Cape Canaveral. It will be interesting to see how that car ride goes.
That's all for now. I will write more when I am three months old.

Love to all,
Luke, Abby, and Eric

  2. This is a great idea. Loved it totally and it was wonderful getting to see Luke and his changes. Sounds like you have the perfect son and so glad you aren't afraid to go with him. He has some neat outfits. Loved the long pants with the brown sandal shoes. Just like a big kid. Well, Luke, will look forward to your update next month. Say Hi to Mom and Dad. Give them a big hug and kiss. Be good. Love, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Bill
